Springles of Blossoms

Immoderately pleased today, even though it's a semi-long one.  Perhaps it is because the weather has turned quite nice (though windy) and the cherry-blossom petals have just fallen to the ground. They are in that great state where they are still pink and white on the ground, having not yet been trod into mush by the feet of hikers.  Here is a 'stream' of them off to the left of the Namsan Promenade...

And then, once over the mountain, Buddha's birthday is approaching, so the school has begun to string lanterns in expectation of our ceremony next Tuesday.  As I come to the top of the final rise before the steps down to Dongguk, it looks like this:
