I have no idea why a coffee-machine in Korea would have football on it at all, much less Pac-10 football. My guess is that is one of the only leagues in the country in which you could snap a picture of a college football game and actually get three white faces in the thing.

On the other hand, the complete lack of fans that you see in the background suggest that this is an actual picture of that actual league. Stanford versus Oregon, unless I've lost my memory of the gang colors of the rich white colleges.

I saw this out of the corner of my eye and it drew me across the street so quickly I didn't even look for rogue taxicabs.

I was lucky.

Then there is the "Bucky Katt" wallpaper which features a vine growing completely through Bucky's skull. It gives me something to wake up to every morning, I'm telling you. I can't tell if the top bit of the bottom half is the part of Bucky's skull that was buried in the dirt, or if the evil (Korean no doubt!) vine has destroyed half of his noble orb.

Which is, if you think about it, far too much thinking about my wallpaper.

The editing thing for the pro-nuke folks went splendidly, now we'll see if they pay me (Ewha has still not paid me for work I did some months ago). It sounds like they will used me again, and I certainly hope so.

Since the plan here is to make money and then come buy all of America on the cheap (When Bush's ruinations have come to complete fruit, some couple of years from now), it seems as though all is going well.

So tell me about yourselves?

OPUS MAGNUS? Statistically, it had to happen.

Holy Crap.... Berkeley Breathed (Perhaps Breathed Berkeley? Who could know with an obvious alias like that?) has finally hit "funny" again!

Bloom County was one of the trustworthy comics of something sort of getting back close to my childhood. When Bloom County went away? It hurt, and I embarked upon a 20 year alcoholic spiral which resulted in the great job I have today, lying to the kiddies of Big City for about 100k a year. The return of Breathed (Berkeley? Panted? Oxford? Really, someone being arrested on "Cops" could come up with a better pseudonym) Opus sounded great but it was normally stupid.

But this one has great inking (I particularly like the semen being squeezed from Opus - I imagine it is coming out of all his orifices.) and more than one risible notion ('do what you're told or end up in Guantanamo' is clever, but perhaps too close to the truth for satire?).

I count about 4 punchlines in this one comic .. which means I shouldn't have to read Opus again for the several years I might spend in Korea...

Thursday Comicallness...

Oh man.. after two so-so weeks "Get Fuzzy" has developed a plan for My Angry Friend. It combines the mysteries of the East, and the Anger within..

Tantrum Meditation... beautiful, man, beautiful!

It's clearly a process thing...

Thursday Comicallness...

I am a man of unvaried routines. And each Thursday evening I check out two websites.

Well, two non-porn websites.

Get Fuzzy and The Comics Curmudgeon.

Get Fuzzy is obvious and I love all it's.. well.... loveable characters..

I am pretty much Satchel Pooch,

although I imagine myself as Bucky Katt

anyway... best comic around since Boondocks went out...

The Curmudgeon is a different critter. He (Josh) seems to like (if by "like" you mean make diminutive, snarky, and clever comments) all comics and damned if, during the famous Aldo Kelrast ("Stalker") discussion he didn't even make me love Mary Worth.

Well, in a non-stalking manner.

Man.. I love me some them comix...
